We were really feeling Big K.R.I.T’s Cadillactica overall as a project, however, like most good albums, there are always those few gems that stick with us long after the hype fades. Soul Food, featuring Raphael Saadiq is one of those records that strives a nerve at our core values. In the distraction abundant world we live in today, it’s easier to get into an “on the the next” mentality. Relationships are no longer a solid bond of commitment, but rather a testing of the waters until something better comes along.

While you jam this ill record, think about anything from your childhood… a tradition, value or memory that doesn’t have the same impact as it used to just 5 to 10 years ago. The further back you go, the more you start to realize how far off the path we’ve actually strayed. Damn, that was profound!
