Revelation 13:16-18 – And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads

The dopest part about the internet is that it’s always working around the clock for you. The scariest part about the internet…is that folks like Google, who have monopolized much of what we know as the internet…are always working around the clock for you…or rather…your soul. Now before I scare you all away with my pyscho-babble, I ask that you just stick this one out with me.

We all know that Google…has literally dominated the internet for as long as you or I can remember. They’ve made impressive progress in making the internet useful to all of us…or at least those who care to utilize it. There’s the part of me who appreciates things like Google’s spot on internet search engine…or Google Maps, which far far surpasses my car’s navigation system. That same part of me…is enraged when people ask Googleable (just made that up) questions on social networks…as if a social network is their first option for finding out information. I mean…much of my professional career, from my 9 to 5 to music and video production work to writing for this site have been supported through education gained via Google’s search engine. For that I’m thankful. Had I put it to swifter use, I may have saved myself a few bucks in student loans. I digress.

Now that praises are out of the way, it’s time to shift gears onto the double edged sword that is Google. The internet giant…and now tech giant, filed their patent application back in Q4 2012. The patent, discovered by the good folks at Patent Bolt is for none other than a camera component embedded inside contact lenses. At first glance, this seems like something straight out of a science fiction film. An average person may not give a care about this breakthrough. A savvier consumer may explore the idea of the benefits such a technological breakthrough could provide. Potential sight to the blind…better vision for those in need of it…and supreme vision for those with the right security clearance.

This is where we come into play. We’re here to keep your most important eye open and seeing clearly at all times. Though the potential benefits are real, this takes invasive to a whole new extreme. Think about it for a moment…a set of camera lenses…in your eyes…that are powered by a constant signal from your mobile device…that is already accessible by government agencies…with questionable motives…who pay companies like Google…to have access to this information (your phones calls, texts, selfies, Facebook posts, even the ones you type..then delete and never post)…so they can run it all through their databases…under the guise of providing you with some sort of national security?

Too much? Am I crazy to think that with a pair of Google’s contact lenses on…that I’m the only who would have access to the feed of information being taken in via those camera components? Surely I can’t be the only worried about potential exposure…and overexposure from the radiation produced by such a device…located directly on top of such a sensitive orifice such as the eye.

I guess I’d be off my rocker if I were to even hint that one way or another…someone out these is trying to gain access to and eventually control our every move. I mean, let’s face it…they’ve done a pretty bang up job of pacifying us as a society with waves of brainless degenerate entertainment, that we’re literally forced into, because the majority of us spend 8+ hours of our day overworked and underpaid…at jobs that don’t even closely align with our true passions in life. My vision has never been clearer…and I don’t anticipate any need for Google’s contact lenses…ever. Visit daily for our take on things creative and eye opening.
