What a wicked ass commercial! Shout out to my Heat and my hometown city of Miami! I know this commercial has been out for some time now, but I think it was a great job done by the guys at Nike once again. Nike has a great way of reinventing, and reconstructing the images of their athletes, especially when their franchise athletes are under fire. They did a dope job with the Tiger Woods commercial after his whole ordeal, and once again have proved themselves a force to be reckoned with in the PR world. After the epic free agency summer of 2010, they did justice to Lebron with this commercial by emphasizing all the major points of criticism that he faced immediately after “the decision”. As you read this particular piece, please remember that I am an extremely biased, die hard Miami Heat and Lebron James supporter. Had Lebron chosen the Knicks, or Bulls or Nets (seriously..lol), I would have continued to support him for the athlete he is, as I did when he played in Cleveland. It just so happens I was able to get the sweet end of the deal as a fan. His decision was a shock to me, because up until a few days leading up to the decision, I honestly thought he would resign with Cleveland. I respect Lebron for making the unpopular choice, going against the grain, and standing behind his decision. I know the haters will continue to come out of the woodwork to emphasize that he ruined his legacy, by teaming up with other superstars and blah blah blah. No one talked shit when Boston did it..or when The Lakers stole Pau Gasol from the Grizzles. Hands down, Lebron is one of the sickest athletes I have ever seen. Enjoy the video, and thanks to all who have supported the CLP Nation and its support of illness! – mD
