It’s Halloween, bitches. Well, it was when I started writing this. Either way, I hope you enjoyed the strange Pagan holiday that stimulates the economy year by year and fills lines at Party Cities all over the globe. Hell, I did. We ain’t got no candy for you, though. All we got for you right now is a handful of dope indie music that we came across in October. How’s that sound? This season, we’re highlighting the busiest posts we’ve had during the month, so that more eyes and ears can pick up what we’re putting down. So let’s get right into it. First up on the playlist is “Net Worth” that we shot for Calvin Caine. Eunitee Franklin joins Caine on the record, throwing money and talking that shit like G supposed to. Then singer/songwriter Joshua Cruz drops a video for the fiery love song, “Angels & Demons,” with a devilish woman taking a bat and some gasoline to his a** and Hardflow BOLO on the feature. Make sure to check out Cruz’s album, The Apollo EP. Next up is “No Offense,” a record from 4-years-clean Rival; a record that hopes to remind us that nothing is set in stone, even if it’s set in stone. I lent a verse to the record and did my best Alec Burnright impression. If you like what you hear, Rival’s album is right over here – The Comeback. Wrapping up this iteration of Dope of the Month, Mackey Emannuel drops a bomb on our faces with the self-produced #TGA, The Goddamn Album. The kid is nice on the beats, nice on the vox and has the passion of a young Kanyeezy. Check out the sampler down below and all the records/videos down bottom. Enjoy.
